Confidea® unites ASIAN and European leaders (17-11-2010)

Izegem (Belgium), November 17th, 2010 - Confidea® Wireless, the unique multi-band wireless conference system by Televic Conference played an important role during the 8th ASEM summit. The biennial summit between European and Asian leaders, held at the Royal Palace in Brussels on 4 and 5 October, depended heavily on the wireless conference system.

A delegation of 49 officials from Asian and European countries, including the Presidents of the European Council and European Commission, participated in the summit held in the Throne Room of the prestigious Royal Palace in Brussels.

Space was limited around the table, designed specifically for the purpose. A reliable and clean solution, without cables, was needed to provide a microphone for each delegate. Televic Confidea® performed the task gracefully and reliably.

Specifically for this summit, Televic Conference incorporated a special functionality in the conference units that allowed delegates to call for an assistant. This eliminated the need for extra equipment on the narrow tables.

For the event, duvall also deployed a camera system, custom-made by Televic AV. Linked to Confidea® wireless, it zooms in on the current speaker fully automatically.
