TELEVIC ANNOUNCES CONFIDEA® WIRED (15-12-2009)
Izegem (Belgium), December 15, 2009 - The Televic Confidea® series, known for its revolutionary multi-band capability and extremely robust wireless link, is now expanded to include a wired version of each model. The wired and wireless members of the family can easily be combined in one system.
The wired Confidea® is a new series of table-top conference units, replacing the now obsolete TCS2500. The new product features the same design and functionality as its wireless peer. When connecting the central unit of a wired system to the access point of a wireless set-up, the two systems become one in a fully transparent way. Combining wireless and wired in one single installation has now really become a piece of cake, both from a technical and an aesthetical point of view.
The Wired Confidea® - known as Confidea® L – uses CAT5 cabling to interconnect units in daisy-chain. In- and output connections are fully interchangeable to make installation easier and fault-tolerant. In certain configurations, the daisy-chain branches can be closed in a loop for redundancy. This guarantees maximum availability of the system, even in case of a broken cable or a faulty unit.
The new Confidea® wired series will be officially introduced at ISE 2010 in Amsterdam and will be showcased on the Televic booth #3D120. However, production ramp-up and first unit shipments will already take place in January.
